S3519 — Truck Weight Limit Study (Active Bill)

2026 Session

Requires NJDOT Commissioner to study current truck weight limits and determine whether NJ should lower limits to the minimum allowed under federal law. Top legislative priority for heavy-haul advocacy — directly impacts OS/OW operations and allowable gross weights.

S183 — WIM Enforcement Expansion (Active Bill)

2026 Session

Requires NJDOT and the Dept. of Law & Public Safety to expand Weigh-in-Motion enforcement to certain bridges. Directly affects OS/OW enforcement exposure and routing across NJ bridge infrastructure.

S1430 — Statewide Truck Parking Program (Active Bill)

2026 Session

Would require NJDOT to build safer truck parking zones along federally funded highways, with annual reporting on spending, new spaces, locations, and safety improvements. Important for heavy-haul driver safety and rest access.

A3372 — Warehouse On-Site Truck Parking Mandate (Active Bill)

2026 Session

Requires large warehouse projects to include adequate truck parking before site plan approval, preventing trucks from spilling onto roads 10 PM–6 AM. Reduces roadside congestion and improves safety for pilot car and heavy-haul operations.
